Colleen's Dream Foundation
Colleen’s Dream Foundation is a qualified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to funding investigational scientific research with the primary goal of developing an accurate early detection test for ovarian cancer. Currently, no such test exists, making ovarian cancer the deadliest of all gynecological cancers. Colleen’s Dream was founded in 2012 by Nicole Cundiff and her husband, Billy, a 12-year veteran kicker in the NFL. In the short time Colleen’s Dream has been operational, it has garnered unfathomable support and has quickly become the largest, privately funded, ovarian cancer specific nonprofit in the state of Arizona.
Make-A-Wish Arizona is the founding chapter of the now international wish granting organization and grants approximately 405 wishes per year. With more than 540 children diagnosed annually with a critical illness that would make them eligible for a wish, the chapter is dedicated to raising the funds to expand their reach throughout the state. Make-A-Wish Arizona receives no government funding or contract and no fees for services. For more information, click “Learn More” to see how you can transform lives, one wish at at time.
The Joy Bus
The Joy Bus was founded in 2011 by Jennifer Caraway after her good friend Joy was diagnosed with an aggressive form of ovarian cancer. Joy's drive and determination in the face of suffering and even death continues to inspire us and teach us the soul-healing powers of a hot, delicious meal and a compassionate, smiling face. Since that time, The Joy Bus has been dedicated to improving the quality of life of homebound cancer patients and aiding in the healing process by delivering fresh meals, a social support system, and nutrition education at no cost to the client. Jennifer and The Joy Bus have gone on to be named as Phoenix New Times Best Food for a Good Cause, one of Phoenix Magazine’s Movers & Shakers, a Mass General Cancer Center’s One Hundred Honoree, was awarded a Florence Crittenton H.O.P.E. Award, and was recently declared a Food Network’s Chopped champion.
